The Bishop's Angel

A grieving angel, clad in all black, visits the grave of Thomas Frederick Davies, Sr. (1831-1905), 3rd Bishop of the (Episcopal) Diocese of Michigan.  She has made the flight to visit his grave – but why is she mourning?  She is mourning for the Episcopal Church, which is utterly become worthy of the name “Ichabod”.  A special “Easter Egg” relic of Bp. Davies is included with this paining – an 1891 handwritten letter from him to the Bishop of Indiana.
