Redline

This painting is about the loss of virginity … in this case, the loss of purity of a fifty-year-old Hot Wheels Redline car, kept untouched and undefiled in its blister pack for many decades.  For such a long time, it sat on the shelf, for display only, not for play.  Now it will taste freedom, feel the open air of a larger world.  But who is this smirking temptress who is liberating the “Custom Cord” from its transparent plastic crypt?  Is she evil or beneficent? That, dear viewer, is for you to decide!
